3 Smart Ways to Decorate with Bamboo Privacy Panels
Bring a Natural Element with the Use of Bamboo

You’ve probably seen them in the homes of friends and maybe even in professional offices: large bamboo privacy panels used to divide and define the space in a room, increasing functionality and adding a calming sense of design.

Would they be a smart choice for your space?

Here are 3 ways bamboo panels have been successfully used to solve room design challenges:

Cover an exterior wall of your apartment/condo deck

Perhaps the most coveted of all units in an apartment or condominium complex are those that come with an outdoor deck or lanais. Your deck can be an ideal space to create a relaxing haven filled with plants and wicker furniture, perfect for enjoying outdoor delights.

Unfortunately, many such units come with strict prohibitions against hanging pictures or design accessories on the outdoor walls.  And who wants to face a plain, unadorned concrete wall, especially if the rest of your deck space has been thoughtfully organized and stylized?

Bamboo panels can be a perfect solution.  As a large temporary fixture, they can fill a blank, boring space without violating any installation rules.  And the soothing natural look and feel of bamboo is often an ideal complement to outdoor décor.

Create a sense of division in an open-concept space while letting light still shine through

Open-concept floor plans have become a huge trend in real estate and interior design.  There are many benefits to be had from this style, including making small spaces feel larger, creating more convenient social and family environments, letting in light through expansive sight lines, and eliminating underused spaces.

However, sometimes open can be too open. What we gain in added space we lose in privacy. We also now lack a clear, clean sense of definition between functional areas.  Where does your dining room end and your home office begin?

One way to bring back some of that privacy and definition is through bamboo wall panels. They’re large enough to create a sense of room division without actually closing off the space. Even better, the nature of the bamboo lets a certain soft light filter through, in keeping with the overall sense of openness we wanted to achieve in the first place.

Temporarily divide a smaller space without taking up too much room

Sometimes you want to divide a room just temporarily, for example in homes when a guest comes to stay on the couch or in offices when a special meeting requires a separated space. This design challenge is most frequently faced by those who have only a small home or professional space to begin with, such as a trendy loft perfect for singles and small businesses.

Unfortunately, many room dividers are themselves so large or bulky, they take up too much of the room you’re trying to use. This is where bamboo privacy panels can be a great alternative. Much thinner than the standard bi-fold dividers, the panels can easily give you the definition you need without encroaching too much on your precious available space. And, they’re easy to assemble and then remove when you just need a quick fix.
